Everton boss Ronald Koeman says that his side is capable of much better than the performance which saw them beat Stoke 1-0 today.
The Blues ran out winners after a dull first half and thanks to a header from Wayne Rooney in his first Premier League game in an Everton shirt for 13 years.
Koeman said, “It was not the best performance at home, but it’s a clean sheet and three points.
“We can be much better than we showed today.
“Wayne Rooney was comfortable from first minute to last. He showed his experience and that’s why we signed him.
“I expected to get space on that side [the right].
“I changed after 45 to get us more comfortable. The second half was much better.”
