Everton boss Ronald Koeman says he is satisfied that his side has progressed the final play-off stage for the Europa League with a 2-0 aggregate win over MFK Ruzomberok.
The Blues made hard work of the win in just the fifth game of pre-season, but ran out 1-0 winners on the night without getting out of second gear thanks to a Dominic Calvert Lewin goal.
The Everton boss said, “”I’m really happy to progress with two wins and two clean sheets. But we know we can and need to improve in our ball possession.
” “It was a physical game and 90 minutes that the players needed. We are through to the next round and I’m really happy.
“This competition has always been important for me. I like to be in Europe – it’s important for our experience. It’s good for the club, the players and the fans. It’s not easy to reach the group stages but we will do everything to get there.”
