According to reports in the media, Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to make a bid of around £25m for Ross Barkley this month.
Barkley is in the last year of his contract at Everton and has told Ronald Koeman that he wants a new challenge after fading in and out of form last season at Everton.
Today, reports suggested that Spurs could be prepared to bid around £25m for Barkley, who came through the youth academy at Everton.
Barkley burst onto the scene when Roberto Martinez handed him a chance almost four years ago after missing out under David Moyes due to injury when he was about to make his first team debut.
He has, however, according to some Evertonians, failed to live up to his billing and many would see £25m as good business.
