Everton striker Oumar Niasse says that he is thankful for his chance to prove what he has got in an Everton shirt.
The striker was shunned by Ronald Koeman when he took over at Everton last summer and was demoted to work with the Under 23 side. Now, however, he has scored three goals in two substitute appearances for the Blues and is rapidly becoming a cult hero among Evertonians.
“I’ve always kept fighting,’ said Niasse.
“Every time there was a difficult period for me but I always gave my best.
“I didn’t sign for another team I signed for Everton.
“Even if I don’t have the chance from the beginning I have it now and I have to grasp it with both hands.”
