Everton boss Ronald Koeman has expressed the importance of beating Lyon in the Europa League tomorrow night if Everton are to proceed in the competition.
The Blues are on just one point from the opening two games and it is widely acknowledged that 10 points are needed to get out of the group stages.
With just one more home game after tomorrow night – against Atalanta who beat us 4-0 away – then Lyon represent a big chance to get things back on track.
“It’s really important,” he said.
“We know the situation in the group. We need a win.
“We expected a win last time but unlucky that the team from Cyprus scored in the last minute.
“With only one point from two games you need a win. Normally you need three wins at home and hope to get something out of the away games.
“The situation is that we need to win tomorrow to get good possibilities to get through in this tournament.”
