David Moyes returns to Goodison with another club and the Blues will hope to continue a run of form which usually sees the Scot lose when he brings teams back to his former club.
But injuries are mounting and the defensive duo join a further EIGHT first team players to be sidelined at the moment.
“Leighton has done his calf unfortunately,” said David Unsworth.
“He said he felt his calf pop which is never a good sign, a muscle injury like that so early in the game.
“Michael was a bit different. I don’t know whether it was concussion.
“He was with the doctor in the changing rooms at the end of the game and I haven’t had chance to speak to either yet.”
