Baines: Win nothing to get carried away with

Baines after WatfordEverton left-back and match winner against Watford, Leighton Baines, says that the win is nothing to get carried away with but it must be used to build from.

The Blues battled back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Watford, with Baines slotting away the third goal from the penalty spot to take Everton out of the bottom three going into the international break.

“We know we’ve got good players,” said Baines.

“We know we’ve got players that are better than our performances are showing so it’s nice to get a win.

“It was dramatic so it feels great but it’s nothing to get carried away with.  It’s the type of win we should be getting at Goodison Park but hopefully it builds momentum.

“I’m sure it was a tough watch.

“It was really emotional and it was the type of game that can definitely give us something to build on.”
