Lookman pleased with Europa League goals

Ademola LookmanEverton forward Ademola Lookman says that he is pleased with the two goals he scored in the Europa League last night, and said that there is confidence creeping back into the squad.

The former Charlton man scored a rare headed goal and then got his second with a rasping shot from outside the box at the end of a 26 pass move.

“With the previous results in the Europa League, to get a result today with a clean sheet was top drawer,” said Lookman.

“I think with Morgan as captain, he led the team well, he was speaking throughout the game and in the dressing room.

“My first header, which I was pleased to get today.

“It was a briiliant ball  in by Nico and I just thought yeah I’m gonna head that and I was glad to find the net!

“I like shooting so if I get a chance to shoot I’m going to do that.

“We saw quite a few fans tonight and it was nice, it was a good feeling during the game.

“I think a few weeks ago, compared to the confidence now, there wasn’t as much but we’re slowly getting there.”
