Reports this morning that Bayern Munich will be scouting Jordan Pickford this summer are flattering to the Everton stopper, but likely false in order to cover their usual tactics of bullying fellow Bundesliga sides.
Pickford was one of the few good things about the last season for the Blues, and would likely fetch a figure of over £50m if he has a good World Cup for England.
Bayern’s first choice Manuel Neuer has not featured for the German giants since October with a foot injury, but has been included in the German national squad for the World Cup, leading some outlets to link Pickford with a move.
Chances are, however, that Bayern will look to the likes of Pavlenka from Werder Bremen who would be much cheaper and destabilise another German side – something Bayern are known for.
