Blues look to add versatile free agent

velosoEverton are being linked with a move for free agent Miguel Veloso but face competition from – you guessed it – Wolves for the signature of the 32 year old Portuguese.

Veloso has been on Everton’s radar before now, when he was one of a mammoth number of players linked a few years ago, but joined Sporting Lisbon.

He turned out for Lisbon against Everton alongside Joao Moutinho, who he could join at Wolves along with every other footballer with a Portuguese passport.

Able to play in the back four or as part of a holding midfield role, Veloso could add some back up to the Everton squad, although Marcel Brands has said he wants to reduce both the size and average age of the squad this summer.
