A group of young Evertonians enjoying their first season as Season Ticket Members have met fellow Goodison debutant Richarlison as part of a special ‘My Debut’ experience.
Over 300 young Blues have signed up for a Kids (Under-11) Season Ticket for this campaign and, to thank them for their support, each will be given the chance to enjoy an exclusive pre-match offering during the campaign.
And to launch the ‘My Debut’ initiative in a special way, a squad of young supporters who were amongst the first fans to purchase Season Tickets for the 2018/19 season met goalscorer Richarlison after the Blues’ 2-1 victory over Southampton. The young debutants were presented with their ‘My Debut’ certificates by the Brazilian and they in-turn presented Everton’s match winner with a special ‘My Debut’ certificate as a memento of his own to round off a memorable Goodison Park debut for the 21-year-old.
Ahead of each home Premier League fixture this season, the Club is welcoming a group of young debutants to Goodison Park. The young fans will be able to go pitchside for a special photo with friends or family before kick-off. And, as if that wasn’t enough, they will also hear their name read out over the public-address system and receive a special Everton goodie-bag including a ‘My Debut’ certificate.
Commenting on his experience, first-time Kids (Under-11) Season Ticket Member Thomas Fearns said: “It was a boss day. It was my first time at Goodison and I watched Everton win. I liked having my picture taken with Richarlison and he gave me my certificate. He was my man of the match!”
The four-year old added: “I told my grandad Tommy I am special now as I have a ticket like him and I can watch Everton every game. I can’t wait to come back and watch Everton score loads of goals this season.
Scott McLeod, Head of Engagement at Everton, said: “Every Evertonian remembers fondly the first time they set foot into Goodison Park as a Season Ticket Member. Being a Season Ticket Member is a rite of passage for football fans and going to the game as young fan should be an exciting, enjoyable and awe-inspiring experience.
“We are extremely proud to have one in four of our Season Ticket Members under the age of 22 and we want to ensure that our younger supporters know how much they are valued by their Club.
“We hope that, through moments like today and the ‘My Debut’ experiences that will take place throughout the season, our first-time Season Ticket Members never forget their first campaign at Goodison Park.”
If you’re a young Blue who has their first Kids (under-11) Season Ticket this season, you will be contacted during the season by the Club’s Fan Engagement Team to arrange your very own Goodison Park ‘My Debut’ experience.
