Former Barcelona star Andre Gomes says he is keen to get on with things at Everton and can’t wait to get on the pitch for the Blues.
Gomes signed on deadline day but is yet to make an appearance for Everton, and says that he feels “part of the family” at Goodison Park.
“The weather is the only problem here, but I can deal with that!” Gomes laughed. “It’s really good. My team-mates are doing their best every day to talk with me, to try to help me do my best performance. I am feeling more comfortable.
“I am injured so I am trying to recover and be back on the field as soon as possible.
“Of course, it is not good for me because I wanted to be right in to help my team-mates. But I am calm and recovering well. The most important thing is I feel like part of the family.
“I want to play. I want to help. I want to go on the field and show the Evertonians that I can help and do good things. I think the boys are working really hard, I am seeing them every day working hard, so for me it is one more detail to improve myself, be back and work at the levels they are.
“I will do my best to help the team and make the fans happy. I am working hard on that.”
