Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye has returned to Finch Farm from international duty after it was confirmed he would not be fit enough to play in his nation’s upcoming fixtures.
Gueye missed Everton’s clash with Huddersfield with a knee injury, but was thought to be fit enough to play for Senegal against Madagascar this weekend. However, he has now returned to Everton for further treatment.
Everton fans will be hopeful that the 28 year old makes a swift recovery and will be fit for the games immediately after the international break.
