Everton boss Marco Silva says he would have no problem including young prospects in the first team squad.
Fans have been speaking during the international break about several young prospects, including Lewis Hornby and Nathangelo Markelo.
Markelo, a right-back who enjoys a surging run forward as much as the next man, was the name that Silva was asked about in his pre-match press conference this week.
“We will see,” Silva said, on whether or not Markelo could be named in the Everton matchday squad for the visit of West Ham.
“In the last match I had (Tyias) Browning on the bench.
“We have just 17 players in the squad list and so I called Browning. It could happen. We have more than 20 players working in the under-23s and if I need them they are there to play and help the team.”
