Everton’s annual deadline day loan signing, Andre Gomes, has stepped up his efforts on the road to recovery by joining in training sessions with the first team.
Gomes signed along with Yerry Mina on deadline day, and neither have made an appearance in a Blue shirt, but Gomes looks most likely to be ready first.
Marco Silva recently told reporters that rumours of fresh set-backs for Gomes were nonsense and that he was targeting this week for his return to training with the first team.
The Echo has today reported that he has indeed enjoyed training sessions with the rest of the first team, but that the Leicester game this weekend will be too soon for him to make his debut.
