Everton forward Richarlison is getting a visit from his father this month, who was bursting with pride when he watched his son run out for Brazil in London, but dad says he wants more goals.
Richarlison has scored six goals in 12 matches this season, but his dad says he doesn’t shoot often enough and he wants to see his son taking more chances, even if he doesn’t score from them.
Himself a former amateur, Antonio Carlos is spending a few days in England with Richarlison and will hopefully get chance to see him play in the Merseyside derby this weekend.
It will be the first time the Brazilian forward has faced the red side in a derby game, and it will be a test of the 21 year old to see if he can keep his head, while also taking his dad’s advice and taking a few chances.
He told Brazilian news outlet UOL, “I mainly talk about shots, he finishes very well, but he finishes little, I’ve already asked him to take more chances, even if he misses, he has to shoot.”
