Everton manager Marco Silva says he want to create a winning mentality at Goodison Park and praised Evertonians for their patience during the win against Crystal Palace last time at home.
The Blues ran out comfortable winners against Palace although the visitors did miss a penalty which could have made things more difficult for the Blues.
Silva says he was impressed with the “patience” shown by the home supporters as they got behind what the team were trying to achieve, saying that the players enjoy it when the supporters get behind them even if things aren’t always going to plan.
The boss then asked for the same again tomorrow when Everton face Brighton and Hove Albion at Goodison Park in a fixture that Everton have never lost at home.
There will likely be another display from the Gwladys Street before the game, and Evertonians will be expecting a solid performance and all three points come five o’clock.
Silva told his pre-match press conference, “It’s really important for us to create this type of winning mentality. It looks different but there are many things still to improve.
“It is our way. The players know our way.
“It is important last game at home. I asked the fans to play with us. One of the keys in that match was the patience of our fans that they had in that moment.
“They were always supporting the team even when we weren’t creating the chances we wanted in that moment.
“Clearly we deserved to win but it’s important we build this and I am sure there will be another fantastic atmosphere tomorrow pushing our team to win the match.”
