Everton are said to be close to signing Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea as the January transfer window closes today.
The Blues have been linked with the Belgian international again this month after initially being interested before he signed for Chelsea, and could now be set to land the striker in a big money move.
With Kurt Zouma already on loan from Chelsea, Everton will have to sign the Belgian permanently and the Londoners are believed to want around to recoup what they paid for him.
After a poor half season on loan at Valencia, Batshuayi will want to prove himself again in the Premier League.
Batshuayi hasn’t found it easy to find a place in the first team at Chelsea, but did score the goal that won them the Premier League in his first season at the club, which briefly earned him a place in Chelsea fans’ hearts. Since then, however, his hold up play has been criticised and he has struggled to find form.
