Everton CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale has been speaking at an international business conference in Cannes today and has said that the new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock “will be a fortress.”
With the first stage of public consultation showing widespread support for the scheme, there are still no officially released images of Bramley Moore Dock, although there has been a couple of documents leaked,
Speaking to what was apparently a large audience, reported on by Alistair Houghton on his Twitter page, she was also asked about funding for the new stadium, stating that the costs would be around £500m and that the club are “more confident than ever” of raising the funds to build the stadium. She did, however, stop short of giving details of who they were speaking to in order to raise funds.
Speaking of the leaked documents, the Everton CEO refused to deny that the images contained within those documents were accurate, but said that she could not share any images, as she did not have any to share.
