Big things expected for Everton next season

Everton secured an 8th place finish in Marco Silva’s first season in charge at the club, in what is very exciting times for Everton.

This has seen them prove a popular selection to qualify for European football next season, with punters using the latest Genting promo code. Considering Everton went through a difficult patch such as the being knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Millwall, to finish where they have in the Premier league, was a positive finish and a great stepping stone for next season.

Lucas Digne and Andre Gomes joined the club from Barcelona last season, and were both instrumental in the success of the side. The big question will now be whether they can keep the pair at the club. Digne is penning a permanent contract and Gomes had only initially signed on through a season long loan deal.

Brazilian star Richarlison is another player who Everton will be looking to keep at the club, as he remains one of the most exciting young talents in the game. This has also seen him push into the national side picture, which is only going to further his progression. He finished with 13 goals from his 35 league appearances. There are rumours and clubs interested in his signing, so it will be an interesting summer.

Gulfi Sigurosson is another player who must get a mention following a very impressive season. He finished as the joint top scorer with the previously mentioned Richarlison, which is an solid return for a midfielder. The 29 year old is now the key member of the squad, and big things will be expected of him moving forward.

The main aim for next season will be securing a European finish and improving on their 8th place finish. Everton finished with 54 points from 38 games played, with a gap of 17 points to fourth place finishers Tottenham. However, they were just three points behind Wolves and a potential European finish. This shows just how close Everton came this season. Wolves will of course be hoping Manchester City secure the domestic treble to ensure they are given the final European spot for next season.
