Blues ending season in fine form

It has been a Premier league season of many positives for Everton, but the inconsistency has led to us sitting lower in the table that would have been expected.

Everton are currently playing some very attractive football and has a team full of attacking talent, so big things will be expected moving forward. Many punters are already supporting them using the Matchbook sign-up offer for a potential European placing push next season. Everton are in flying form at present, and are finishing the season strong. Here we cover a number of the recent impressive winning performances from the side.

Everton 2-0 Chelsea

The victory over Chelsea in March was an eye catching one, as Everton created many chances at Goodison Park. Chelsea controlled the possession at 68%, but it was Everton who were the most clinical, with the game finishing 2-0. This started with Richarlison scoring in the 49th minute, before one of the stars for the squad this season in Gylfi Sigurosson netting the second in the 72nd minute. This was a very impressive victory for Everton.

West Ham 0-2 Everton

The following fixture Everton travelled to the London Stadium to face off against West Ham. It was another impressive victory as Everton created many chances throughout the game. They took an early lead in the 5th minute following a Kurt Zouma headed goal. Bernard then made it 2-0 in the first half. Everton then controlled the second half as West Ham failed to register a shot. Another controlled performance from Everton.

Everton 1-0 Arsenal

The following week Everton continued their impressive run as they welcomed Arsenal to Goodison Park. It was another dominant display from Everton as they registered 23 shots in total. Phil Jagielka netted an early goal in the 10th minute, in what turned out to be the only goal of the game. This also meant that Everton extended their run to three victories in succession.

Everton 4-0 Man United

Following the surprise 2-0 loss away at Fulham, Everton welcomed a struggling Manchester United to Goodison. This was possibly the most clinical and impressive performance of the season as Everton routed United 4-0. This also saw them reduce United to just one shot on target over the entire game. Both Richarlison and Sigurosson got early goals for the side as they went into half time 2-0 up. Digne then added a third on 56th minutes, before the rout was complete as Walcott added a fourth.
