Andre Gomes is all set to sign a permanent deal at Goodison Park after a successful loan spell from Barcelona last season, and according to the Daily Star, he is excited about it, which is nice to hear.
Gomes joined late in the summer of 2018 on loan from Barcelona, but there were stories at the time that his injury problems could potential rule him out of ever playing in an Everton shirt. He quickly put those to bed, and put in a Man of the Match performance in his debut.
The Portuguese impressed everyone with his seemingly effortless control of the ball, and his ability to hold off opposition players with ease, as well as his excellent passing range and eye for the near-impossible.
As with all newcomers to the Premier League, his form dipped from time to time, but he had already established himself as a fan favourite, and the £22m fee that is being reported will be seen as good business by many.
