Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye has refused to comment on rumours linking him with a move to French giants Paris St Germain.
The Senegalese international stated that he is solely focused on the African Cup of Nations, where he takes part in the semi final next week.
PSG tried to sign Gana last year, but were rebuffed by the Blues who held firm and Gana instead put in a professional season in the Royal Blue of Everton.
Rumours had resurfaced this week, however, of PSG coming in with fresh bids, but Gana says he will not comment on them at the moment.
“I am focused on my competition,” he told Sans Limite SN.
“I did not read L’Equipe but they told me about it. I am fully focused on my competition. We’ll have time to talk about it again if it’s still there.
“I can not talk about it here. Once again, I am focused on my competition.”
Whether or not Gana Gueye will remain an Everton player is yet to be seen, but Everton will want to ensure that they receive a fee befitting the gap he would leave behind if he left the club.
