Everton defender Yerry Mina might have his own ideas about solving the attacking conundrum at Goodison Park, by telling Colombian teammate Juan Cuadradro to join the Blues!
In an interview after the Copa America, Mina joked that Cuadrado – who endured a tough couple of years at Chelsea after impressing on international duty – should pack his bags and move to England.
“Pack your bags and I wait for you in England?” he jokes in the video below, courtesy of Caracol.
Mina was also vocal about the possibility of Everton signing Kurt Zouma from Chelsea on a permanent deal. Zouma spent last season at Everton on loan and kept Mina out of the first team for a lot of the season, but Mina says that made him more determined to fight for his place in the team when he rejoins Everton on Monday.
He said, “I have to present myself on July 22nd, although I am of body here, but of mind there. I’m clear, I’ll give everything to Everton.
“Zouma is a great person, he’s always laughing, he’s motivated and he was a great companion. I’m going to do my job and try to earn my position.
“The important thing is to feel good and from there, step by step convince the professor, who’s the one that picks the lineup.
“Whoever be there I’ll try to be a starter and represent Colombia, Guachené and Everton and let’s go with everything.”
