Everton have apparently received a fresh bid from French giants Paris St Germain for Idrissa Gana Gueye after the Blues managed to resist bids last summer.
L’Equipe reports that PSG have come back in with a bid worth around £26m for the Senegalese, who is on international duty in the African Cup of Nations currently, having scored a winning goal to send his side to the semi-finals last night.
29 year old Gueye is under contract with Everton until the summer of 2022, and losing him now would be seen as a major blow without having someone lined up to replace him.
The French media seem confident that a deal can be done, and that negotiations will continue for the coming days.
