Everton have signed World Cup winner Djibril Sidibe on loan for the season, with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the term.
Sidibe comes from AS Monaco where he endured mixed fortunes at club level, with his form dipping towards the end of last season after winning the World Cup last summer with France.
The 27 year old is excited to have joined the Blues and said that he was here to take on the challenge ahead of him.
He told evertontv: “I was very happy to hear a historic and big club like Everton was thinking of signing me.
“It was very easy for me. I did not have to reflect for too long before making my decision to come here.
“Everton are recruiting with the intent to win trophies and play on the biggest stage.I am 100 per cent motivated and ready to help the Club achieve its goals and to achieve my own individual goals.”
