Reports in The Independent claim that Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha hopes to join Everton before the two sides clash in the opening game of the Premier League.
Everton have been linked with a move for Zaha for some time now, but it was understood that once Palace rejected the opening bid for Zaha, Everton had agreed to back off.
Now, though, this report claims that people close to Zaha say he expects to join Everton before the end of the window.
Sources at Everton had already told NSNO last week that they “hoped” Zaha would join, but that was felt to be more of a personal hope than a professional expectation of a deal being done..
Marco Silva has also said that he hopes more signings come in this week, and a reported further investment of what would be a record fee paid by Everton, would surely boost his squad.
