Everton manager Marco Silva says that it would be “impossible” to allow Morgan Schneiderlin to leave the club this summer.
The British transfer window closed yesterday, but European clubs can still sign players for the rest of this month, although Silva says that the Frenchman will be going nowhere.
Everton sold Idrissa Gana Gueye to Paris Staint-Germain this summer, and Silva says that losing Schneiderlin is not an option, especially after James McCarthy also left the club on deadline day – to join Crystal Palace.
Silva said, “It’s impossible [for] Morgan Schneiderlin to leave our club. Because if you look now, and look through our squad, the number of players we have, and the solutions you have… we lost Gana in that position… for that position we have Morgan and we have signed JP [Gbamin].
“In this moment, we have two players for that position and it is impossible for Morgan to leave our club. He will be our player until the end [of the window].”
