Everton manager Marco Silva has refused to comment on the potential signing of Juventus striker Moise Kean – by saying that he will only talk about it once it is official.
Kean signing for Everton has perhaps been the worst kept secret in English football this summer, and Silva has been cautious in his words to the media, although this is the biggest hint yet that it is all about to become official soon.
Evertonians are excited at the prospect of signing the Italian youngster, and are desperate to here him speak in the video that accompanies all new signings these days, but it has started to drag on.
With just five days left until the transfer window shuts, there may seem like little time to get the deal done, but Everton have plenty of experience in getting deals over the line quickly when needed.
Silva told The Echo, “I can’t talk about him now as there is nothing official. Let us see what we can do. I hope we can finalise it.
“In this moment, we have Cenk, Dominic – a young striker – and we are looking for a striker to improve our squad.
“Once we have signed him, then I can tell you about the feedback and what is my feelings about him.”
