Everton boss Marco Silva says that Brazlian forward Richarlison is benefiting from a good run of form, and is the “spirit” in the Everton dressing room.
Richarlison scored twice today as the Blues beat Wolves 3-2 at Goodison Park – adding to his goal at Lincoln on Wednesday evening – and showed why Silva was so keen to sign him.
He terrorised the Wolves defence, although referee Anthony Taylor was reluctant to penalise them when they stopped him illegally – as they did frequently.
Silva said that he will keep on improving as the season goes on and that he is recovering from missing a lot of pre-season with Everton.
“Richarlison is the type of player that needs good performances and if possible to win more confidence in the way he likes to play,” Silva said.
“Last season, he did all the pre-season for us. This season, he did Copa America and after was on holiday and started the first game against Crystal Palace with 13 days working with us.
“He scored two really important goals for us. He will keep improving, for sure.
“We are talking about a fantastic football player and a fantastic boy. He is the spirit inside our dressing room.”
