Tough one I know, but this popped up on twitter today, Sheedy's goal is just perfect, the movement, the passing, the cross then the finish

Insane goal.

Sharp’s in the same season against the neighbours was ridiculous, too, and was it the Steven one with the crossfield pass, then turn inside the defender and smash home.

Oh, “And Gray has scored from an almost horizontal position!”
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”

That goal always reminds me of that Michael Essien goal for Chelsea against I don't know who. Both goals from distance but both seem to take forever to go in.

We'd have won it that year if we won the shoot out.

The final that year was Zenit v Rangers for fuck sake.

Nah Moyes would have gone too negative and bottled it elsewhere like he did in the first leg of that tie.

I came to post this one. I can't believe we lost on penalties that night, we were so good and fully deserved to through. I completely lost my voice after that goal.

It's one of the few times I've shed a tear when we lost, I was convinced it was our year. We had such a good side then.

Arsenal. Was a brilliant goal that.

Always remember it well.

Rangers barely won a match in their run I don’t think

I just reckon the quality in that side would have seen us through.

Hed have been negative away but we'd have smashed the home legs.

We had already beaten Zenit in the groups that year.

I've got a few that I can recall from the 80's to be honest that stick in my memory.
Trevor Steven against Sunderland in 85 IIRC. Inch perfect pass from Bracewell, cuts inside and burys it right into the top bin. The ball from Bracewell was pure football porn.
Same season FA Cup game against Ipswich. Kevin Sheedy free kick on the edge of the box. Putsit right in the top corner only for the referee to blow up and demand it's taken again. Sheedy puts it right into the opposite corner.
Graeme Sharp's stunning volley at Anfield. Never tire of watching that one..
Some of Andy Gray's many diving headers from that same season and of course Trevor Steven's goal against Bayern in the ECWC semi.

From more recent years Leon Osman's goal against Bate Borisov I think it was. Absolute thunderbolt.
Arteta's against Fiorentina. Still can't believe we ended up going out that night.
Duncan Ferguson against Utd at Goodison. Night game and Duncan provided a striker's masterclass that night. Ferdinand and Vidic spent the whole game looking for him as he absolutely fucking terrorised the pair of them before eventually burying a bullet header into the Gwladys Street end.

Ther are more but those are some that have really stood out for me over the years.

I posted Osman's above. It was against Larissa.

This is another (skip to 40 seconds), I was at uni and out with a load of mates (about 10 of us, I was the only blue, but unbelievably there were no United fans) for a session and to hit the student union nightclub in Bournemouth (The Old Fire Station).

It was a Wednesday night, we watched this in the pub and it went off big time when this goal went in. The atmosphere was amazing, did my voice in here too. Went on to have one of the most memorable nights out in my 5 years in Bournemouth. Everyone was buzzing. Pulled an absolute scorcher that night too, them were the days!
