That's us sorted for the next 5 years then

Ok so let's not buy those players and buy a bunch on Lookmans and Vlasics and Keans and hope in 5 years we're still in the premier league.

We've actually signed youngsters as well you know, we've just spread our recruitment out over players that fit in now, as well as highly rated youngsters like Nkoukou, Branthwaite and Godfrey.

So in 5 years we have that next crop being established first teamers... Don't let that get in the way of your argument though eh?

Sorry to derail this thread and talk about Isco :)

The press in Spain say that Isco has fallen futher and further down the pecking order, Zidane really likes him and so gave him lots of chances, but he hasnt done it for a long long time. The rumours are that his missus got him to go vegan and thats ruined him, but thats been denied. Hopefully he just needs a change and a new challlenge, Carlo should know him, and on loan would mean its lo risk.

Isco, Szoboslai and Eriksen please, Carlo.
Yes, we're being condescending. Yes, that means we're talking down to you.

Which one? That he's gone vegan or that it's ruined him?

I've improved my fitness probably about 200% since going vegan, but that's probably down to caring more about my health and what I eat.

I just hope we sign him so we can trump the 'Jamie Vardy's having a party' with 'James and Isco are having a disco'.

Think this could be a 2014 signing too far.

I can’t figure out if this is a paddy power tweet or a Paul Merson quote. Either way I’m sure I read similar before we signed James.

Im not sure we should be interested in this one. In the last 4 seasons hes played around 86 times, 11 goals and 10 assists. I dont know what that equates to in terms of goals/assists per minute, but from a team that will dominate most games it doesnt look all that great on paper, and when you compare to Sig over the same period who played 108 games he scored 19 goals and 13 assists it looks even less impressive.

They’ll be lumped in together because they’re similar players, from the same club and are a similar age - but Rodriguez was the much safer bet. Despite what the press say, he did have a successful loan at Bayern - he just fell out with Zidane and had some injury issues.

Isco seems like a different case entirely - seems to have fallen out of love with football and married a chef.
