Another CB? How about trying some of the other options we have first?

We’ve tried all the partnerships and they all leak. Unless maybe Godfrey is ready to go in at CB. We won’t push on with Mina or Holgate being starters for us that I’m sure

Holgate and Keane needs a re-run. They haven't been paired together with a better functioning midfield in front of them.

Holgate and keane looked decent before Holgates injury

I’m not sold on Holgate at all. Think we always seem to leave too much space when he plays. Would prefer to see Godfrey get a go than him in all honesty

We averaged 1.67pts/game with Holgate/Mina as the starting tandem last season.

Holgate/Keane was 1.31, and Mina/Keane was ~1.00.

That was all obviously with a worse team in front of them.

If the two of them were shown from the camera angle of the 1st then you’d see that DCL is a good 6 inches onside. Just link him to the Wikipedia page on geometry

That’s some Oscar Wilde shizzle 👊🏼

Do you know how many games each partnership played? I thought it was the holgate/Keane partnership was the most consistent without looking at the stats

Not exactly, but they were all close. Something like 13-14 ea for the 2 Holgate partnerships, and ~10 for Mina/Keane. It's probably worth noting the Mina/Keane duo was almost exclusively under Silva. Holgate didn't really get a shot to start until Dunc I think. Oh, and there was the 2(?) Keane/Branthwaite games too, but it was such a small sample size I didn't check what they did.

It’s certainly interesting but I’d still say, especially on current form, that Keane-holgate is my starting pair. There’s been too many mistakes from Mina this season

Don't care. The idea it hurts more just increases my joy.

I’d like the look of this adjustment:

                        Pickford
                    Holgate Mina
                        Godfrey
Iwobi           Doucouré Allan        Digne
           James               Richarlison
                          DCL

Keane is are best defender at this time by a country mile

Bold statement, Mark.

He’s definitely our slowest defender by a country mile, I’ll give you that.
