Those replays earned a lot of money, if I remember correctly and Sharpy got a hat trick in the game at Sheffield and we were wearing an all yellow kit.

The thing I hated about those games against Boro, was their boring 'Come on Boro' chant.

One scary night at their place after the game. 4 of us lying down flat in a car in a pub carpark as hundreds of them where looking for scousers. Beat them at our place next game. Pallister was awesome for them before he joined utd.

Sheff Weds brings back memories of those replays we had against them in the late 80s. Was like 3 games where we drew 1-1 and then we walloped them 5-0 in the final replay.

Then we had a couple of replays against Boro in the next round which we also got through. I think the redshite knocked us out 1-0 at home. We'd done them 1-0 at theirs in the Littlewoods Cup earlier. I think that was the same season.

Remember the 4th game.... Bracewell’s comeback game.... Sharpy hat trick.
