Until we show any sort of fight with a depleted starting XI, I don’t know how anyone goes into this expecting any sort of positive result.

That’s a pretty depressing statement I’ll admit, but it’s been proven time and time again this season.

Best we could do in this situation is probably approach it as Ferguson did in his stint, keep it very simple at the back, hit it long to DCL and Richarlison. We don’t have the players to play through them.

Our fans won’t want to see it, but I’d play really defensively, like the away team, and look to nick one.

Depends whether we’ve got a backs-to-the-wall defensive performance in us.
