If Coleman is fully fit, then he plays for me, especially if it would allow us to move Mason into the double pivot with the Duke.

Aubameyang and/or Saka both play down the left and I think we want Coleman in there with specific instructions to simply stay back (like Mason did). Richarlison & Godfrey should be able to effectively deal with (probably) Pepe on the right.

Their lack of creativity in the middle is going to mean they’re going to have to use pace and width to get past us. I fancy Mina and Keane for crosses into the box.

Auba is still world class and only needs a half chance to put us to the sword. I’d say they way we’ve played the last two games is perfectly styled to beat these.

Last time we played them was that (IMO) terrible loss at the Emirates, 3-2. Only say terrible because we had 3 lapses in focus, and gave up 3 goals. Mistakes all around.

For thems who care: fbref match report from Arsenal v Everton Feb 23 2020.

Baines wore the C, and unfortunately missed a block on Aubameyang's 1st goal I think. On his 2nd goal it was almost a comedy of errors. Poor marking, Holgate & Mina looked bewildered, and I think Sidibe also missed a block on the cross (not sure about that one). Delph did nothing, and I think this was one of the awful Iwobi/Sidibe right-side link-up games. Pretty sure Saka came on early and immediately started giving us problems on that side.

But they were there for the taking then, and we're a much better side. Did they improve since then? Gabriel, sure, but he's missing this one so lol.

All 3 of their goals that last game were from crosses, but Mina/Keane should be much better at defending these for this one. Sounds like Coleman will be back for this, so him & Godfrey as fullbacks with hopefully Holgate stepping up into the pivot with Doucoure is so much better than the team we had out there the last time.

If Pickford's got his head on straight and we remain organized defensively, I fancy our chances in this.

I guess there's always the chance that my negativity is typical of the attitude that's been holding us back for years

And that we noticed the other week during that Leeds game and the Burnley game up until Delph got injured that we were just too easy to play through and a chain of events took place that led to the Chelsea and Leicester wins being the first 2 of a 27 game winning streak which lands us the Premier league title for this 20/21 season

I'm changing my opinion to this being a 3-0 romp for the blues. Triggering Arsenal to pull the plug on Arteta

Obviously in the script that Iwobi is scoring alongside a Yerry Mina header and an Evil Richarlison strike, the man who makes the commentators cry
