Love the injury update @Lazarou.

Pickford
Coleman Mina Keane Godfrey
Doucoure Holgate Sigurdsson
Iwobi DCL Richarlison

If Coleman is fully fit, then he plays for me, especially if it would allow us to move Mason into the double pivot with the Duke.

Aubameyang and/or Saka both play down the left and I think we want Coleman in there with specific instructions to simply stay back (like Mason did). Richarlison & Godfrey should be able to effectively deal with (probably) Pepe on the right.

Fairly obvious defeat here I think as it just seems such an obvious win for us.

Arsenal are in shite form, we are on the up and have just got our shit together

Things would just be going too well if we won this and I've got 37 years of Everton experience to know that we won't win

Don't rate us in the 5.30 Saturday sky slot given the Leeds shit show. Apologies for not being more positive

Ozil to come in from the cold and play a blinder or Leno to score.

The good thing is that i suppose most of us will be watching it on catch up later after the Strictly final so we can give it a miss if it's bad?

The Himalayas has the Yeti, Norway has Trolls, America has Hillbillies. You, good people, are blessed with Shropshire. And Stoke as well to be honest.

Just looked at our record against these, forgot how dismal it has been over the years.  Weird not going into thinking 1-1 would be a good result but fear the worst

If we execute the new system well then we win, it's perfect for how Arsenal play.

This doesnt take into account blunders and clangers. I hope Pickford doesnt play.

Their lack of creativity in the middle is going to mean they池e going to have to use pace and width to get past us. I fancy Mina and Keane for crosses into the box.

Auba is still world class and only needs a half chance to put us to the sword. I壇 say they way we致e played the last two games is perfectly styled to beat these.

Agree. Its like people just started supporting Everton the last two games.

Have we not learnt a fucking thing the last couple of games, or decades for that matter!

Get your shit together people! Dont feel optimistic unless it doesn't involve Everton!

Be interesting to see if we open up a bit here or carry on the 25% possession thing

Last time we played them was that (IMO) terrible loss at the Emirates, 3-2. Only say terrible because we had 3 lapses in focus, and gave up 3 goals. Mistakes all around.

For thems who care: fbref match report from Arsenal v Everton Feb 23 2020.

Baines wore the C, and unfortunately missed a block on Aubameyang's 1st goal I think. On his 2nd goal it was almost a comedy of errors. Poor marking, Holgate & Mina looked bewildered, and I think Sidibe also missed a block on the cross (not sure about that one). Delph did nothing, and I think this was one of the awful Iwobi/Sidibe right-side link-up games. Pretty sure Saka came on early and immediately started giving us problems on that side.

But they were there for the taking then, and we're a much better side. Did they improve since then? Gabriel, sure, but he's missing this one so lol.

All 3 of their goals that last game were from crosses, but Mina/Keane should be much better at defending these for this one. Sounds like Coleman will be back for this, so him & Godfrey as fullbacks with hopefully Holgate stepping up into the pivot with Doucoure is so much better than the team we had out there the last time.

If Pickford's got his head on straight and we remain organized defensively, I fancy our chances in this.

Probably stay the same I reckon.

It痴 not like it痴 pure negative football. Against Chelsea and Leicester our XG was very good.

Play like that against arsenal and it痴 hard to see how they池e going to get a shot on goal never mind score.

I guess there's always the chance that my negativity is typical of the attitude that's been holding us back for years

And that we noticed the other week during that Leeds game and the Burnley game up until Delph got injured that we were just too easy to play through and a chain of events took place that led to the Chelsea and Leicester wins being the first 2 of a 27 game winning streak which lands us the Premier league title for this 20/21 season

I'm changing my opinion to this being a 3-0 romp for the blues. Triggering Arsenal to pull the plug on Arteta

Obviously in the script that Iwobi is scoring alongside a Yerry Mina header and an Evil Richarlison strike, the man who makes the commentators cry

Just bully them off the pitch, hopefully. It's the easiest way to beat Arsenal no matter who is in charge of them.
