Whilst it was good to see Digne back today I think he may well be left out of this,  if not , having seen that lad murder him pace wise today I'd worry about traore against him

Hopefully a similar performance to Leicester and we get 3 pts

I don't think it was much of an injury at all tbh, but I still agree he doesn't start this one.

I'd go Godfrey at right back and Keane and Mina back together in the heart of defence.

Traore is a tricky one for us. I'd love to see him and Godfrey fight it out, but those lovely switches from James to left back dont amount to anything without Digne.

Digne looks miles of it today, miles. Which is understandable, as he’s been out. But he got properly bummed by a Championship wingback. Not sure I’d start him against Wolves.

Wolves have been offering very little going forward since Jimenez went out (you can nail them on for 3 now), so for me Digne needs match fitness to shake that rust. Despite Traore being on his side, I think Villa would be a much worse game to ask him to get that fitness. Idk if that made sense lol.

Oh and you have to think Digne immediately looks significantly better with Richy in front of him instead of the ginger.

Hope the left side gets back to how we know it can operate, bring on Godfrey/Holgate to shore it up.

I’d be inclined to go with Holgate-Keane-Mina-Godfrey for the next two league games.

Away from home against two competitive teams. Same approach as Leicester/Chelsea. First and foremost be difficult beat. Both teams have front 4/5s combining speed with intricacy. Nullify that threat and play on the counter.

Iwobi back will make a difference. We all know Richarlison will get on a streak again soon and he has a good goal scoring record against Wolves in the PL.

Our games and results in Jan/Feb will have a major bearing on where we finish this season. There will be times/needs in those matches to be expansive and to have a go but right now, given too the injuries that Coleman and Digne are recovering from, I’d be inclined to be hard to beat first and foremost.

Godfrey went anywhere on the pitch which was pretty much where everyone else was after those subs.

I don’t think anyone could work out our formation. The overall consensus ended up being the out of date Christmas pudding formation.

Dreading this game now and the Villa one the on weekend. Probably the worst two away games we could play with how we have been looking of late. Can’t see us getting anything from either TBH
