What an awful time to have a game of football
Yeah it is awful
I don't know if anybody can remember this, but it was around 2006-2007 when i think setanta was still involved showing live games and they wanted us to play man utd at old trafford on xmas eve with an 8 o'clock kick off time.
It was only the fact that the police told them in no uncertain terms that wasn't going to happen and the game was moved to the 23rd.
I love everton and i love football but who the hell wants to watch it on xmas eve night.

Always had a lot of time for Sheffield Wednesday.

Proper old school club, good fanbase, good history.

Growing up primarily in the 90's, I can't wait for them to one day return to the premier league (hopefully along with Notts Forest) so we can have an old school premier league again.

My first ever match was also against them too.

Same to all of that, but NOTTS County fans and NOTTINGHAM Forest fans will all shit a brick when you call them NOTTS Forest lolol

I know because moving to Nottingham when I was of school age meant it quickly became one of my favourite hobbies :)

Have they got a manager yet??

Or are they still some turgid Pulis-hybrid not quite mutated into the full anti-football gods he tries to create?

For me Forest get looked on quite favourably by football historians. They seem to be defined by the three or four years they were successful and it gets passed off as the norm. In truth they have bimbled around in the second and third tiers for the vast majority of their existance.

They have in a sense yes.

2 European cups though is something other clubs cant boast about. They have a fairly decent fanbase for me and seem more of a proper club, as opposed maybe to the shitty plastic ones with plastic fans like Hull, Wigan and Reading, who often get lauded with the whole "what a story" bollocks about how amazing their rise has been from the lower leagues.

Much rather see clubs like Forest in the top division than the likes of them.

Wednesday fans are generally sounder than Blades. Much less angry and much less of a chip on their shoulder.

Iím sure it just depends on which Sheffield fans youíve met. Iím sure thereís plenty of bellend Sheffield fans yet at the same time other bellend Sheffield fans.
