Don’t disagree that it would be nice, even preferable but I still think that with our lean squad and fairly fragile key players, we should prioritise the league.

With only 4 extra games, max, left in the cup we really should be able to have a go at both.

We’re going to be rotating anyway over the next couple of weeks, as we have been since the start of December.

Also we might not have to beat either City or Utd as you don’t know whether they’ll get through/ could draw each other etc

Why two keepers makes zero sense

With lots of sub slots might as well have two as if starter gets injured/ sent off, you’ve at least got another back up if the worst happens and something happens to the replacement.

Unlikely of course but 8th choice outfield sub isn’t making it on either and won’t prevent a disaster
