Not won at home since December. That was all about result over performance tonight.

Too many times we have not backed up a big result in years gone by. We followed up anfield with 3 points tonight with a relatively depleted squad.

That will fucking do me.

What's that saying about playing bad and winning?

Yeah, but that’s usually said about a top side that misses, but still creates, quite a few chances.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”

Happy we won. Of course I am.

We all would have taken scrappy 1-0 and so it was.

But fuck right off if that's our game plan from here on in for home matches.

Need to find a way to be on the front foot more in those types of games.

That saying is a load of crap.

Also, it usually applies to teams that actually play well sometimes.

A little overly negative.  We have had some good games this season.

And let's see how we play with Davies in for Gomes and James in for Sig.  If we still can't control the game then, I will be worried.

We were still the better team like.

Majorly handicapped going forward without a proper right back.

Yes, I'd say so. Not massively, since Southampton were really shite, but we could've done with him.
I didn't even remember I had a signature.

Southampton are one of those pressing teams we really seem to struggle against. I for one am glad Carlo has seen that, adapted, and whilst not pretty, got is the points.
Much rather play nice football against Chelsea to win the game tbh.

Some people have short memories. We played really well literally 9 days ago at anfield.

Our fans are weird man

Think this is a massive issue, our right side has largely been non existent all season, id prefer to see Iwobi back there in some form over Holgate who is just an abomination of a player

Carlo not afraid to take it right back to "you can't lose if you don't concede".

Pretty confident that he'll be creating a platform for us to build upon rather than playing 'don'tloseball' every week like Mourinho.

I'm only here for the cladding/Bramley Moore Dock updates

Yeah we really struggle when teams press us but also when teams sit deep.

It makes me a bit worried tbh. Hope we have enough quality in the final third to carry us into Europe

I felt that they were shite and still the better team.

They played the better football, but still somehow contrived to also be dreadful.

Did we create another chance from open play after richys goal? Some good freekick routines fair play but fucking hell, one shot on target? Barely strung two passes together.
