Was it 9 goals in his first 11 or something like that? Did amazing when he first joined. That Spurs game will be a game I'll be boring my grand kids with in 30 years, I'm sure.

Jelavic was pure Everton. Short lived optimism and joy followed by the cruel crushing reality of our struggle.  ;D

My son came over with a Spurs and Shite supporter for that game...  Hurt his right leg jumping up and down with joy when he scored THAT goal.... Having a look at his Spurs friend made all the pain worth.... I liked him so did my son..

I remember thinking the way he ran and his hairstyle, he reminded me of Kanchelskis , loved him, but another one season wonder.

Those 'first touch' stats were ridiculous

Was his main problem that he looked so much better in the kit that he wore in his first season (le coq sportif, collar, Amber trim) than he did in any other kit we had?!

Seemed a different player in the Nike kits!

Ha! Would love to know our stats in the amber kits - feels like we have a much bigger win percentage! Although as the Blue is 1st choice that one will be over more games and therefore nearer our true average.
