I don't finish work until 6 but can be home by ten past.
When the derby was a 5:30 kick off on a Saturday I didn't get in from my Saturday shopping until 5:30. I was checking my phone for the score while putting the shopping away. We were a goal up before I'd finished, as it was the derby I did the only thing I could and kept away from the TV and radio while we remained 1-0 up, just checking my phone every ten minutes or so.
I stayed away from all forms of live media until my phone told me we'd made it 2-0.
Usually I wouldn't dream of going to those lengths for a game against Chelsea; but I now know that a precedent has been set and an early goal for us could fuck up my evening.

It's going back a bit. I can only remember the 85 season when Kev Richardson scored the only goal.... one of the first live games on a Friday I think it was. Surely we must have won since then?

We won in 86/87 season when we won the title last. 2-1. Southall put in the performance of his life apparently.
