* An Everton source has told Football Insider that top of the club’s target list will be Koulibaly, who is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the game.

We aren't signing a CB this summer.

Certainly nonsense.

If Ancelotti can’t make it work with the CBs we have, it’s time to retire.

Can Koulibaly play in midfield, that’s the question?

Would be very on brand though to spend 60 million or so on a player who is 30 in a couple months.

We have 4 very capable CB's and a young one in Branthwaite to step up in future.

It is the one area that is pretty much sorted for the next 5 years.

Complete bollocks.

I'd be fine with us buying another cb, a top athletic ball playing centre half like originally planned, especially if we could flip say Keane?

MINA + ANOTHER
GODFREY + HOLGATE

BRANTHWAITE (Loan)
GIBSON (Loan - although the understanding is that my man is supposed to be part of the first team set up from next year, right?)

Edit : oh and we shouldn't buy bloody Koulibaly!

One of the best centre halves in the world.

If we think there’s a chance we can get him then we’d be stupid not to go for him.

He’s great.
Hey there mister can you tell me what happened to the seeds I've sown
Can you give me a reason sir as to why they've never grown

Oh laaaaaaaad come on what are we doing here?

He's absolutely fantastic but he doesn't solve any issues, just another mad big money old dude!

Hasn't he had a dramatically worse season this year? Also had a couple of muscle injuries in recent times, as he pushes towards 30.

At his peak, would've been thrilled with this, but it would be another bad Moshiri vanity signing at this point.

Thankfully, I don't think there's anything to it.
