Koulibaly is 30 this summer. Not a problem for me but this seems to bother a lot of people.

Yeah doesn't bother me, you're getting probably 4 years of reliable service from a CB at that age, alongside huge experience which we could really do with over another young defender.

Already got my popcorn ready for the groundhog's day slew of comments.
I came here to chew bubblegum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

He's just turning 30 yes but on the plus side he has already started getting worse and picking up more injuries so you know.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

In terms of minutes if you put him in our squad this season, only Michael Keane has played more.

Heíd also improve our defence.

Is this true? I'm sure I remember reading that he'd missed about 14 games in 5 years, excluding covid. Could be wrong.

Picked up three injuries in the last two years, but only a few weeks here and there. One of those was a dislocated finger.

Heís played 33 games this season, having missed a few with covid.

Last season he played 34 games, seasons before that 45 and 48.

So his game time has dropped slightly but he hasnít missed many games.

Yes.

- We have Yerry's best years coming up and we'd be catching the tail end of Koulibaly's.

- It's hard to find a dominant aerial presence who isn't a dunce with the ball at his feet. Would be silly to let a player like that walk away, especially since we have a fair number of opponents who like to play directly and we frequently leverage his ability in the air by defending so deep on set pieces.

- We are uniquely reliant on James for chance creation and general ideas in possession and this is his national teammate and closest friend in the squad.

Sell someone else if you need this guy that badly.

He hasnít been near the form he showed during the Sarri years and has picked up a few injuries. Still comfortably one of the best CBís in Serie A, but just donít see the value in buying him in our current state.

Would cost upwards of £40m and is arguably on the decline. His game is largely based on his ridiculous physical skills and I would worry about spending a massive amount of £ on that type of player who is nearing 30.

If it was a choice between him and Mina, itís Mina all day long
