Winds me up no end as all we usually do is then lump it forward and lose possession.  Someone needs to take responsibility and pass it forward to feet instead.

For me, it shows we lack players with movement and who look to take the ball forward or at least own their shit. Too many times our players get a pass and get rid asap, either because they shouldn't have received it as nothing on or they don't know what to do, so pass it again and take no responsibility for it. These have been playing football for nearly 20 years if you count junior time and they should know the basics and more by now. We need to progress the ball more, carry it individually and improve our passing. There's been a disconnect between our back line and the forwards for years and it's because our midfield is the issue never resolved. Look at who we have: Gomes, Delph, Bernard, Siggy, Davies, Allan and Dacoure... the last 3 are ok but the rest can fuck off... the wages saved on that shite, we could buy quality

Allan and Gomes did a horrible job making themselves available for Godfrey and Holgate. Delph was better when he came on.

We appear committed to playing out from the back but it still looks like the midfielders and fullbacks havenít worked out the movement and timing. How often do Coleman and Digne bomb on while neither CM is available for a pass off the CBs? This isnít a thing the players should be figuring out for themselves on the pitch. Youíd expect a clearer idea of what weíre doing with the ball at the back on matchday 34.

Weíve been outstanding from set pieces this season.

Defensive organization has been great at times, poor at others.

This has been the biggest failure of the coaching staff. Weíre as hopeless during build-ups as we were when Ancelotti took over.

Ancelotti hasnít helped himself with team selections either. Davies has been our best midfielder for taking the ball off the defense on the half-turn and Mina and Keane are the best distributors out of defense. Even taking injury recoveries into account, itís odd that not a single one of them played yesterday.
