This'll probably piss a few folk off as it's not really the end of the season yet, but I think we know roughly where we'll finish now. Answer this question after the last whistle's been blown if you prefer.

Describe how this season has been in one sentence (or as few words as possible).

I'll go first:

Carlo started off with attacking football, but quickly realised we don't have the squad quality to maintain it, so switched to a more pragmatic style, still earning us a marginally higher position than last year.

I'm only here for the cladding/Bramley Moore Dock updates

Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right.

Probably not a bad season in isolation, and considering its progress on last year, but in the context of the last 20/30 years, just another nearly season full of missed opportunities.

Aside from a few games early on we’ve been horrible to watch, so:

Boring

Been repeating the same season since 2014. Not even close to winning a cup and finishing just outside Europe spots again.

Boring boring boring boring, was nice thinking we’d turned a corner first few games of the season like that’s about it

Early promise followed by a reality check.

Frustrating progress.

Around 60 points for top ten finish and challenging for Europe with two decent quarter final cup runs achieved by grinding it out:

Acceptable first full season for the manager.

Expect player reinforcements and improvement for 2021-22:

Around 70 points for top five finish and European qualification with one Cup Final achieved by blood, sweat, guts and neat playing style.

Acceptable and potentially successful.

If we make Europe I'd look back and say at the start of the season would we be happy with Europe and beating the red shite away from home? 99% of us would say yes that is a good season.

How many of us thought we'd make Europe? Most didn't if I recall correctly.

Frustrating that we seem to have been so close all year but haven't been able to secure it yet. Still seems like a decent season to me.

Also bet if you asked this question after we had won the responses would be different...

Games with James = Good
Games without James = Not so much

Away wins against the Top 6 = Good
Away wins against the Top 6 without fans = Not so much

DCL = Good
Richarlison = Not so much

Just not sure what the club is good at. Average recruitment, poor youth player development. Average results. Poor performances.

We've got so few in any role that are doing a really good job. It's all a mix of okay and really not good enough.
DCL has been the really bright point. Richarlison has been awful

Home form = absolute horror
Home form without fans = maybe understandable?
