I wonder when the last time was when we scored 3 goals in such a short span of time.

I can remember that game under Moyes when we were 2 down on 80 minutes at West Ham and won 3-2 iirc.
Lukaku got an 11 minute hat trick against Sunderland about 5 years ago, but 3 goal in under 7 minutes, I can’t remember

Doucoure’s pass for the goal was top drawer. Richarlison’s pass first half to Coleman(he was offside ) was football porn.

We all know Townsend is going to score maybe one or two amazing goals a season and not do much else but my word that is one helluva goal. It actually rises about halfway through its route to goal. Amazing!

Managed to get to the game last night for the first time in a long while and I really enjoyed it

You can't beat the sheer thrill of seeing an Everton goal go in and the place just erupting!

Really did feel like the crowd influenced what was happening. Its got to inject the players with some energy. That 10 minute spell where we equalised and then scored another 3 (including Doucoure's offside goal) was mesmerising. Felt like we were absolutely magic!really can't remember a spell like that in a game where everything is coming off

It did take us going behind to wake up though which was a bit worrying. Lucky that we responded fairly quickly as we needed to get our belief back and get a grip on the game, and boy how they did respond

The nature of Townsend's goal played a big part in the response as well. The crowd does cheer louder and with more vigour when it is a worldy, and I can't remember much better than that. He hit it soooooooo sweetly. And you could see how much it meant to him. Also props to him for setting up the first. Little bit of trickery out wide and then a lovely cross. Not everyone was convinced it was a good signing at the time, but his attitude is spot on and having a great work rate, fantastic crossing ability and a shot like that means that there are definitely some big qualities  being brought there.

Nice as well given some of the characters we've had over the years just turning up and not giving a shit and taking the wage, that we have someone as humble as him, who realises he has to win the fans over, with something to prove. He speaks really well and really highly of his manager and his team mates and great to see he is enjoying it here and is delivering on the pitch as well.

Other notable performers last night I thought were Gray, Doucoure and Allan. Obviously it was the first time I've seen all 3 live in an Everton shirt. Demarai Gray is rapid!such a cool finish that and he looked our brightest spark all night I thought. A Real bargain at whatever price he was

Doucoure just had so much energy. Great to see him in the attacking 3rd more and also making some great passes too. Crazy the way that he seems to get fitter and stronger as games go on

Allan I think is just a quality and intelligent player. I watched him just as we went 1-0 down and he was rallying the troops, trying to get everyone's heads back in the game. Mentally I think he is very strong and he is another player who I think feeds off crowd reaction

The only real negative last night was the short corners. I've never been a fan of these!especially as most of the time you are giving up a definite cross in favour of maybe being able to get a cross in from a different angle, which doesn't always come off. I guess I can let them off tonight though as one of them eventually did lead to that first goal!

All in all a great night

Well, he has two goals and two assists already this season. Good start.
Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right.
