I'd be interested to see you thoughts on the passage of play immediately before the 2nd goal.  They had the ball out wide, Townsend is trying to close down 2 players, Davies doesn't do anything... Should he be helping Townsend there or would that leave too much space behind if he does?

Just seems like someone should be helping Townsend and Davies is just stood there marking space.

I could have wrote 3/4 different things about that goal, that being one of them. I normally only do one tweet per incident but had to do two for that one. Davies would have been better off helping press and stopping the cross coming in rather than, like you said, marking space.

Yeah but of a cluster fuck all round, but stop the cross and stop the goal... He was poor on both goals imo

That gap between Godfrey and holgate is horrible stuff no leader there at the back telling lads to get back in proper shape

Yeah those two together is as much a recipe for disaster as Gomes and Davies

As the other QPR post has moved, we would have drawn the only League 1 team left in Sunderland if we'd have won last night.

Almost guaranteed Quarters 🙈

Very disappointing. Great chance of silverware, until Man City inevitably win it.

Pickford would have so done.
Benitez OUT.

Which again - and I know this isn't the Pickford thread - shows how much he contributes, in different ways.  Yet, people want to solely judge him as a "shot stopper."  Absolutely does my head in.

Agree 100%
Also whilst I cannot possibly prove it - hed have probably saved at least one of their penalties
