It is probably nothing to worry about, but it's hard not worry a bit when you read things like this.

Lets just hope we have worked closely with the Premier League as said and all is above board, but those numbers don't make for great reading.

For just one day I want no Everton related stress, only happy thoughts. I'll look at this tomorrow.

Sour grapes.

Yeah, was just about to post this exact phrase after thinking about it a bit more. If they had that much of an issue they should have done it much earlier in the season, not the day after one of them is confirmed to be relegated

The pandemic has given us breathing space here, otherwise I would suggest we would have been in a bit of bother with FFP.

It’s very difficult to argue against the pandemic having a huge impact on clubs finances, and so unless they have substantial evidence showing that the losses were nothing at all to do with Covid, to take that through the courts would be a huge risk for very little reward.

You could also suggest that Covid caused us to have to write down the value of players and that those losses were exacerbated due clubs not purchasing players at “normalised” values.

All in all, quite a desperate attempt to cover up their failings on the pitch.

Why no letter of concern after the Burnley game when we were 5 points off safety?

Desperate. Shame they both cant get relegated on Sunday.

I wonder if they wrote about Man City as well? I mean they had an impact on where they are too.
