I think if we can get Winks, Zinchenko in. It adds abit of depth to the Midfield which we sorely lack.

I dont even think we need good players to improve us. It showed how much better we were with just Delph standing infront of the defence. Feel Winks could manage that.

I don’t think Winks is a defensive midfielder. Why don’t we look outside the prem instead of making do with a reject who is available from Spurs.

Wolves away highlighted our needs in a microcosm. First half without a defensive midfielder, get carved open, put one on, change formation, change the game. We are crying out for an actual number 6 and this is gonna feel like the Sigurdsson/Rooney/Klassen debacle if we end up signing two 8’s when we already have three in Allan, Doucourè and Iwobi.

Honestly think it would be 35 for both.

10-15 for winks
20-25 for Zinchenko.

I actually think one will be a loan and one permanent anyway.

Annoys me so much that Hull City and Watford are about ten streets ahead of us in being able to identify a player. I mean - if we are that useless then just buy their entire scouting teams and wait a couple of years. I’d rather that than us be the solution to other teams who want rid of players. I could be doing a discredit.  We may have moved on. I hope so but it’s blind hope and that is not a strategy.

The funny thing is, we nicked the scout at Leicester, in Steve Walsh and tried to make him into a director of football.

Instead of jibbing him after that disasterous year we should have maybe just made him head scout or something.

We do everything wrong.

You're right though, makes you wonder why so many others scout and find these players.

Watford a prime example, 2 of our main first team came from them in Richarlison and Doucourè.

Richy was fannying about in the Brazilian leagues and Duke was playing in the French second division.

They are out there I just don't know why we can't scout them ourselves.
